Rt. Rev Samuel. N. Mensah, President of full gospel church international and National Executive Member of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic council has indicated that Government has not been ardent enough when it comes to the safety of the citizens.
Speaking at the launch of a book titled, “leading by serving” he said, every government that is serious enough must start to think about the protection of the citizens.
He said the government can pass a law whereby every public place should have security detected.
Rt. Rev Samuel. N. Mensah therefore added that, government should have been smart and ardent to put in place security measures when Former Chairman of the Council of State, Prof. Kofi Awoonor was killed in shooting incident at a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya during an attack on the Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi which Somali militant group Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for because our world now is not safe anymore.
He, therefore, urged the Government to spend money on our security agencies and equip the navy, the army and the police as much as they spend money on free senior high school.
Also, Apostle James Kofi Abbrey, Head Pastor of Divine Bible Builders Church and Executive Director of Holistic Training and Counselling Consult, author of the book, added that everybody was born to lead and it means that both men and women have been given the ability and
authority to lead and urged Ghanaians to use their gifts to serve humanity in the area where one was gifted.
