Seven persons have been arrested for open defecation at Shiayennoh Primary school at Apenkwa.
A task-force set up to enforce sanitation by-laws in Okai-kwei North Municipal Assemble has arrested seven persons on Friday for allegedly indulging in open defecation at Shiayennoh Primary school at Apenkwa.
Narrating how the seven were arrested last Friday, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Okai-kwei North Municipal Assembly, Hon Boye laryea, said, they send the task-force round and spotted these people defecating openly at the school compound, classroom and unauthorized area in the evening.
He added they sent all the seven to tesano Police station on Friday as they were then released on Monday so that they can come back to the school and sweep the compound as punishment.
The headteacher shiayennoh primary school, Ursula Tawiah also told the media what they are going through as school and their challengers.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Okai-kwei North Municipal Assembly also used the opportunity to donate items to 11 Muslims Mosque, the items include; 10bags of perfume rice, 10 boxes respectively.
MCE said as part 30-days fasting and prayers (Ramadan) for 2019 that Muslims are doing, it’s incumbent on the part of the government to do such donation to support and also to encourage them so that they will be able to do the Ramadan successfully.
