RESIDENTS OF MORSO COMMUNITY EXPRESSES WORRY OVER ABANDONED GUTTERS

Residents of Morso community at Afigya Ekyere East Constituency in the Ashanti Region have expressed worries over gutters which was abandoned by contractors. The gutters were left unconstructed though the road has been completed in 2018.

Speaking to some of the residents in the community, Samuel known also known as Amanda said, the gutters would be of help for water flow to a safer place but due to poor construction of the gutters, it leads to flooding as the rain at times overflows and degrades the road gradually.

However, Frimpong Michael who is also a resident and lives adjacent the road said,

“I get frightened when it’s raining because my house is adjacent to the road and the rain has dug a deep pit closer to the road due to the unconstructed gutter. This pit when flooded can carry away a child, even an adult when it rains heavily. And also the pit keeps expanding towards my building”.

Mr Kennedy, a member of the constructors added that the gutters would be constructed.

Even though he didn’t disclose the main reason why the gutters weren’t constructed likewise

the date will be commenced, he assured the gutters would be constructed soon.
