The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa has finally cut the sod for the construction of the sefwi wiaso and juaboso Road and a warehouse which is a policy for one district and warehouse project plan.

During the presidents two days working visit in the Bono west region which forms part of the six regions newly created by the ruling government.

According to the president a total of 5.04km of new town roads are to be constructed in sefwi wiaso, adding 8.10km of roads are to be upgraded, meanwhile 14.43km of the town road are also to be constructed in juaboso.

Nana Akuffo disclosed that the construction of the road had been awarded to M/S Hardwick limited with a cost of Gh 13.6million which has the deadline of two years.

The work is expected to kick start on the 11th of April 2019 this road had begun under the tenure of former President Agyekum Kufuor, meanwhile the Mills and Mahama government who took over failed to accomplish such a project, he stressed.

In the press release the president also stated that construction would be done for the 0.7km CAC/ Nana Kwesi Mensah road, the 1.60km “Nana Yaa Man na Road, the 0.58km old police station road, the 1km juasec Road, the 1km kena, the 0.25 hospital RD, the 0.35km ASPT road together with the mortuary road and the hospital road.

Also at Bia, the president, cut sod for the construction of a one thousand metric ton pre-fabricated warehouse ,which is a project under the 1D1W initiative to help promote and also motivate farmers to increase production in creating market to stabilize prices for farmers and increase the output income as necessary .
